The happen on July 1, 2008 at a place in crestview Florida me and my husband live in crestview and the resturant just open up and it is across the street where we live at it is not even 2 months old the to go menu says the name of the place is Golden Buffet but on the outside of the building says something else witch is asian buffet why they have two different names i do not know why. But anyway the reason iam saying to steer clear of this place is this it is reasonable in price for thire luch that what me and my husband was going thire for was thire lunch buffet this is our second time going thire and we went thire when they had thire grand opening . Well the cut off time for lunch was at 4pm and we was thire at 3:45pm way b4 the cut off time my parents took us thire and we are on a very fixed income we are both disable and is on disability anyway like said my parents take us everywhere cause we cant drive and my dad went in to doble check on the price about the lunch buffet and they told my dad if we go in now we can eat and be charge for the lunch price and all and me and my husband said ok so we got out and my parents gave me little bit more money to make sure we had enough for the cab ride back to our home ok . And we went in and eat and as soon as we went in i look at my husband watch and and it read 345pm and i told the lady that seated us to a table and was getting our drink orders that we was supposed to be charge the lunch price well everything was going along fine me and my husband was talking and laughing and all and eating getting our first plates i mean this is a buffet at buffet right? at buffet you supposed to eat all you want to for the price right? well my husband was getting his second when he got back with his i was still eating on my first plate and we was talking and eating and i was getting done with my first plate and i was sitting thire for a few mins b4 i went up to get my second plate of food my husband was still eating his second plate and i was drinking some of my diet coke and that when the waitress come to our table a brought us our ticket and you know how at these places they give you a thoose cookies. Well i pick up the bill to see and make sure they charge us the luch price and not the dinner price witch they did. So i went up thire and got me another plate and my husband went up thire and got him another plate things still was going along fine i my husband got done with his plate and said he was full and could not eat no more i had not had my second plate for not long for 10 mins and the waitress come to our table and said to us it is the dinner buffet and she was starting to pick up our ticket and i stop her and said what are you doing and she said i have to change the total of your ticket ma'am and i said why we are supposed to be charge the lunch price not the dinner price that what the lady told us when we walk into this place and the waitress ask me did you guys come in after 4pm i said no we come in before 4pm cause at 4pm is when they do the dinner buffet. And she said well it is dinner now and i have to charge you dinner price and i said no we was supposed to be charge the lunch price and i did not even get to finish my meal my husband did tho and wanted something sweet i even told the waitress i was not even done i told my husband come we are leaving and yelling and talking very loudly where everybody was looking at us and i did not care that they was i told my husband come on lets go he was all ready up before i was and starting to head up front to the cashier the waitress still had the ticket in her hand and i was trying to get it from her she finally gave it to me before i reach the front she was talking in her native language and i was telling the manger of the place how the waitress did not let me finish my meal and the lady ask if i was done with my meal i said no she did not let me finish and we was being charge for dinner price where as you told me and my husband we was supposed to be charge for the lunch price. Nobody told us if you was thire still eating after 4pm on the lunch price that you was going to be charge the dinner price she did not tell me and my husband this when we walk into the place before we sat down at the table nor did she tell my dad . We allways thought if you come into a place before lunch was over with your are charge for the lunch price and the should not be chang in the middle of the meal cause it switch over to the dinner buffet. Well i was yelling and everything and told them flat out more then once that this is the last time me and my husband is comming into your place of business and iam telling my friends not to come either and i ask to use her phone so i can call for me and my husband a cab we paid the 16 and some change amount for our meal witch is the lunch price even tho they wanted more and was trying thire best to charge us for the dinner price. While we was waiting inside the place and looking ut the window for the cab and i was still talking very loudly and still mad and talking to my husband that is the lady that told us when we walk into the place at the begging that told us she was going to charge us lunch price and not dinner price as they was sitting us to a table. Anyway as me and my husband was sitting thire waiting for our cab she had the gaul to come up to me and told me that i wasted food she was referring to my second plate i left on my table when the waitress come and was taking away the ticket and was trying to charge us the dinner price. I told the lady again how the waitress did not let me finish my meal if the waitress let me finish my meal i would not have wasted any food. ugh so people out thire dont eat at this place tell your friends not to eat thire iam trying to find out who owns this place and report this but i dont know where or how to report this or who owns this place i did a goole search it pulled up nothing with no help if somebody can help me please and ty email me the help i dont want this to happen to anybody else.
